CONSTRUCTION has finally got under way on a major new hotel and serviced apartment development next to the O2 in Greenwich.
Local dignitaries recently attended a ground-breaking ceremony for the project which will see a new luxury hotel built with over 400 rooms and a landmark 23-storey tower with 100 serviced apartments.
Greenwich Council gave planning permission back in October 2010 for the scheme which will also include a huge new ballroom and exhibition space.
The hotel and apartments will be managed by the InterContinential Hotels brand
