There are two main boat shows held throughout the year and if you’re attending either, it’s always wise to sort out your accommodation well in advance.
London International Boat Show 2011
The London International Boat Show kicks off the year with a huge exhibition of all things marine related. 500 exhibitors will gather at London ExCel centre to show off their wares. The centre piece of the show will be a huge watersports pool, to be used for a wide range of activities from canoeing and kayaking to stand up paddle boarding, wakeboarding to dinghy sailing for children, plus canoe polo and model yacht racing. The latest developments in modern boating will be on show, as well as the chance to learn about traditional skills and techniques in the Classic Boat section.

Southampton Boat Show 2011
The highpoint of the year for many, the Southampton Boat Show offers a fun filled day out of activities for anyone marine minded. The full itinerary of 2011’s show is not yet available but the a high benchmark was set in 2010 when the MOD were in attendance and had HMS Dauntless on display.
